Vesic: Construction of Belgrade metro to begin in 2020
BELGRADE - Construction of a Belgrade metro is a project that must involve both the city and the government of Serbia, City Manager Goran Vesic said on Wednesday.
Speaking at a national conference on property and infrastructure development, Vesic said the construction of a metro - talked about in the capital since the 1970s and initially promised in 2008 and 2009 - was certain.
Vucic attends subway project presentation
BELGRADE - Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic on Thursday attended the presentation of a subway project for Belgrade, prepared by the city authorities.
The presentation was also attended by Belgrade Mayor Sinisa Mali, representatives of the French construction companies Alstom and Egis, as well as the French Ambassador to Serbia, Christine Moro.

Relocation of Belgrade's main railway station begins
The Main Railway Station Belgrade Center in Prokop was opened to traffic on Tuesday, nearly 40 years after the start of its construction, Tanjug has reported.
It is expected that the complete relocation of the current main station, located in central Belgrade, to Prokop, will take about a year.

Free Zone of City of Belgrade officially established
The Belgrade Free Zone was officially established on Thursday, offering many facilities to investors on two locations totaling around 98 hectares.
Also established during a Belgrade City Council session was a limited liability company that will manage the Belgrade Free Zone.
