Most flights between the Bulgarian capital and the airports in Frankfurt and Munich operated by Lufthansa are cancelled as the strike of the flight attendants of the German airline continues on Thursday.

The continuing strike of flight attendants of Lufthansa cancelled all flights operated by the German airline between the Bulgarian capital of Sofia and the airports in Frankfurt and Munich on Wednesday.

Lufthansa has cancelled all its flights to and from Athens on Monday, November 9, due to the ongoing strike by the Lufthansa flight attendant union – UFO over a dispute over retirement benefits.

Eight flights between the Bulgarian capital and the airports in Frankfurt and Munich will be cancelled on Monday as the strike of flight attendants of Lufthansa continues.

The strike will not affect two of the scheduled flights between Sofia and Munich, the airport of the Bulgarian capital informed, daily Dnevnik reports.

Lufthansa flight Sofia-Frankfurt departing at 2 p.m. Sofia time (1200 GMT) has been cancelled  due to a strike at the German air carrier, Sofia Airport authorities announced on Friday.

The flight will take place at 7 a.m. on Saturday.

Frankfurt-Sofia flight scheduled for arrival at 8.15 p.m. on Friday will also be cancelled.

Environment Minister Segolene Royal said Nov. 6 initial French tests had shown emissions cheating in Volkswagen group vehicles, but cars from other brands were in the clear.
