Greece's DEPA buys out Shell's stake in domestic gas supplier
Greece's state-controlled DEPA gas company has concluded the acquisition of Shell's 49 percent stake in a domestic gas supplier and in a gas distributor in Athens, becoming the sole stakeholder in the two companies, it said on Wednesday.

DEPA looks set to buy Shell's Attica Gas stake
The Energy Ministry expects on Friday to close the deal between Public Gas Corporation (DEPA) and Shell for the acquisition by the Greek gas company of the Dutch group's stake in Attica Gas Corporation. The process is already behind the schedule provided for in an agreement between Minister Giorgos Stathakis and Greece's creditors.

The World Bank provided a 73.5-million-euro (over $86.5-million) loan for a sustainable cities project in Turkey, according to the Treasury's announcement.
Cosmetic products popular in ancient times
Archaeological excavations in the ancient city of Antandros in the northwestern province of Balıkesir, where work has been continuing for 16 years, have revealed a number of ancient shops which sold cosmetics, indicating that women have been interested in such products for millennia.
The adjacent shops were unearthed as the works neared an end in the ancient city.

Turkish economy re-gains 45 tons of gold 'under mattresses' through campaigns
A total of 45 tons of gold worth $1.7 billion have re-entered the Turkish economy through a number of gold collection campaigns, said Istanbul Gold Refinery?s Alternative Sale Channels-Gold Banking Director, Enver Ya?ar.
The gold collection campaign started in 2010 with the attendance of one bank. There are now 11 banks in the system.
