EBRD provides 45.5 mln euro loan to Eczacıbaşı
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has said it is supporting Morocco's hygiene products sector with 45.5 million euros of loan to Eczacıbaşı Consumer Products Maroc SARL (ECP Maroc).
It is the first cross-border acquisition financing package of its kind, the development bank said in a statement.

Istanbul Modern welcomes its architect
Istanbul's museum of modern art, Istanbul Modern, moved on May 4 into a new building overlooking the Bosphorus Strait, designed by Renzo Piano, the Italian-born architect of London's Shard skyscraper and the Pompidou Center in Paris.
Established in 2004, the Istanbul Modern in 2018 moved out of a rustic building that once served as a customs warehouse.

Istanbul Biennial to open on the weekend
Organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV ) and curated by Ute Meta Bauer, Amar Kanwar and David Teh, the 17th Istanbul Biennial will open to the public on Sept. 17, bringing together people and processes in a gathering of more than 50 projects, each the fruit of long-term research and collaboration.

Funeral ceremony held for Turks killed in Italy chopper crash
A funeral ceremony has been held in the northwestern province of Yalova for the four Eczacıbaşı Holding employees, Altuğ Erbil, Arif Cez, İlker Uçak and Serhat Kenar, who lost their lives in the chopper crash in Italy on June 9.
Turkish Pavilion opens at Venice Biennale
Turkish Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy opened the Turkish Pavilion on April 20 at the Venice Biennale 59th International Art Exhibition.

‘Selected Moments’ commemorates Şakir Eczacıbaşı
Istanbul Modern is hosting an exhibition titled "Selected Moments" on the 10th anniversary of the death of businessperson and photographer Şakir Eczacıbaşı. Sponsored by the Eczacıbaşı Group and curated by Bülent Erkmen, the exhibition will be on view until March 31, 2021.

Hundreds of ideas in basket of Coronathon Türkiye event
Coronathon Türkiye, an online event to harness ideas to counter the adverse effects of the coronavirus pandemic, has brought in some 1,500 people working on innovative projects in the first day, its organizers have said.
Eczacıbaşı women claim European title

Turkish women’s volleyball team Eczacıbaşı VitrA beat Yamamay e-work Busto Arsizo of Italy 3-1 (20-25, 25-18, 25-18, 26-24) to secure a spot amongst the top eight of the CEV Cup where it will be playing Yenisei Krasnoyarsk of Russia.
