Egypt, Turkey appoint ambassadors to upgrade diplomatic relations
Egypt and Turkey have appointed ambassadors to each other's capitals for the first time in a decade to restore normal diplomatic relations, their foreign ministries announced on Tuesday.

Turkey cautious over Saudi-Egyptian move on Qatar
Diplomatic action against Qatar by Saudi Arabia did not come as a total surprise, following a number of indications over the last few months. But the June 5 move was beyond expectations: Firstly it was not only from Saudi Arabia, but it also looks to be aiming for the economic as well as diplomatic isolation of the Gulf country.

Jailed reporter leaves Egypt after 400 days
Al Jazeera journalist Peter Greste left Egypt for his native Australia Feb. 1 after serving 400 days in a Cairo prison on charges that included aiding a terrorist group, security officials said.
