VIENNA - The window of opportunity that is opening up in the Western Balkans' EU approximation must not be missed, but the progress of the region's countries in European integration must proceed based on strict rules, says Bulgarian FM Ekaterina Zakharieva.

Deputy Prime Minister for Justice Reform and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva will be on a working visit to the Kingdom of Spain on 5 and 6 November, the Foreign Ministry announced, quoted by BGNES.

In Madrid, Deputy Prime Minister Zaharieva will meet with Spanish Foreign Minister Alfonso María Dastis Quecedo. She will talk with Justice Minister Rafael Catalá Polo.

BELGRADE - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic on Tuesday met with Bulgarian Deputy PM and FM Ekaterina Zakharieva, who commended the reforms conducted by Serbia, noting that Bulgaria was a strong supporter of Serbia's further European integration process.

Meeting the requirements in negotiation chapters 23 and 24 is of great significance on this path, Zakharieva said.

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic met on Tuesday with visiting Bulgarian Foreign Minister Ekaterina Zakharieva, the government announced.
