Voter turnout for the whole country as of 11:00 am is at 12.3%, Central Election Commission Spokesperson Rositsa Mateva said at a briefing Saturday at 11:30 am.
The lowest turnout is registered in Plovdiv - 7.25%, and the highest in Bolyarovo Municipality (Southeastern Bulgaria) - 33.94%.
More Greeks living abroad have right to vote Saturday
More Greeks whose residence is abroad will have the right to vote in the upcoming election. In the previous election, 22,857 Greeks residing abroad were registered and 79.64% of them - i.e. 18,203 people - voted.
Bulgaria’s Interior Minister reported of Vote Buying from One Political Party to Another
"Vote-buying in the elections was reduced by the Ministry of Internal Affairs to levels that did not substantially affect the results". This was stated by Interior Minister Ivan Demerdzhiev before the National Radio. He summarized that 151 court proceedings were instituted for violation of the electoral legislation.
