Five metro stations to close Sunday, Monday for 5G installation
Stations on metro Line 2 will be closed on Sunday and Monday (December 15-16) evening for the installation of the 5G network.
The stations Elliniko, Argyroupoli, Alimos, Ilioupoli and Agios Dimitrios will be closed at 10.30 p.m. until the end of service, the operator Athens Urban Transport Organization (OASA) said Saturday.
Traffic restrictions Sunday for southern Athens road race
Road authorities have scheduled traffic restrictions this Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. along Vouliagmenis Avenue in southern Athens to facilitate a road race in the area.

Temporary traffic restrictions will be in place on Vouliagmenis Avenue, a key route from central Athens to the southern seaside suburbs, starting Saturday and continuing until November 22 due to ongoing roadwork.
The measures, which will affect traffic 24 hours a day, will be implemented in stages.

The first residents of the Elliniko development in southern Athens are expected to move in by end-2026, Lamda Development CEO Odisseas Athanasiou told press representatives, after their tour of the construction sites.
"The projects are advancing as planned, despite the difficult construction market," he noted.
