Elton John has achieved EGOT status. The famed British singer-pianist won an Emmy Award on Jan. 15 for best variety special (live) for "Elton John Live: Farewell from Dodger Stadium," a three-hour concert documentary that streamed on Disney+.

John said he was "incredibly humbled" for joining the elite group of EGOT winners who have won Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony awards.

Emotional but excited fans from around the globe flocked on July 8 to Elton John's final farewell concert, bringing the curtain down on more than 50 years of live performances.

The 76-year-old singer and songwriter whose hits include "Rocket Man", "Your Song" and "Candle In The Wind" is playing the final gig of his last-ever tour in the Swedish capital, Stockholm.
