FEST Remains Serbia's Most Vital and Provocative Film Festival
Under the slogan "Look!", this year's festival boasts a programme of more than 90 new films, including blockbusters with Oscar-nods and some of the best films that domestic directors have to offer.
Starting on February 24, the festival will last until March 5 - a full ten days.
Kusturica looking to wrap up acting career
BELGRADE - Emir Kusturica, the world famous Serbian film director and the winner of 2 Golden Palm Branches at the Cannes Film Festival, has said he plans to wrap up his career as a movie actor and will no longer participate in any films.
Kusturica stars in his new picture called "The Milky Way", which is going to be screened in Russia for the first time.

Tech-Savvy Tesla-Inspired Play Premieres in Belgrade
A new play entitled 'FBI - The Tesla Files' premiers at Belgrade's Sava Centre's main hall on December 18.
Written by Nele Karajlic, a popular Yugoslavian musician, writer, performer and overall Renaissance man, the play premiered in November in Novi Sad and has now taken up residence in Sava Centre.

The 11th edition of Kinomania in Plovdiv will be held from November 18 until December 1, 2016. The festival comes in Bulgaria's second-largest city with the strongest program ever and for the first time for 14 days.

BELGRADE - Russian President Vladimir Putin has awarded a number of cultural workers with Orders and Medals, one of them being Serbian movie director Emir Kusturica. The related decree was published on the official legal information website on Thursday, TASS reports.

Film director Emir Kusturica is among cultural workers awarded this year by Russian President Vladimir Putin, TASS has reported.
The Order of Friendship is given to Kusturica for his "significant contribution to promoting friendship and cooperation between peoples."

Emir Kusturica & The No Smoking Orchestra to Perform in Sofia on April 22
Renowned Balkan director and musician Emir Kusturica will perform with The No Smoking Orchestra in the Bulgarian capital on April 22.
The concert will take place in hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture (NDK) in Sofia, the organisers from Degris Events inform.
60th Belgrade Book Fair opened
The Belgrade International Book Fair, a major literary and cultural event in Serbia and the region, was opened on Sunday.
The 60th Book Fair was opened film director and writer Emir Kusturica and Russia's Nataliya Narochnitskaya.

Bosnia Tax Officials Threaten Kusturica's Mini-Town
Bosnia's Taxation Authority, UIO, said it had initiated an enforcement procedure for the repayment of 1.2 million Konvertible Marks [some 600,000 euro] from Andricgrad, the company owned mainly by Emir Kusturica, in a dispute over taxes.
