YouGov Survey: One Fifth of Men Have no Close Friends

One fifth of men have no close friends. This is according to a study done in the UK, BTA reported.

YouGov's survey, which included 2,149 people, also indicates that one-third of men representatives do not have a best friend.

Men are also less interested in making friends, and unlike ladies, only 44% say they feel lonely.

Not even 15 years

So, instead of life, special police guard Epaminondas Korkoneas got 13 years. Not even 15 to match the age of his victim, Alexis Grigoropoulos, to represent - if only symbolically - each year of a life that was so violently terminated on December 6, 2008, on Tzavella Street in the downtown Athens neighborhood of Exarchia.

Irresponsible authority

The murder of American biologist Suzanne Eaton on Crete is not your run-of-the-mill case. It will not be considered closed once the guilty party is put away. This case will register in the memory and history of the place where it happened.

Cases like this define and influence behaviors and shape minds.

There was a flood of reactions to the incident, which was widely reported.

Challenging received wisdom

There are silent truths and there are silent lies. Silent truths are usually so self-evident ("night follows day") that we don't need to articulate them. Lies of silence are more potent. They are easier to tell but more painful when they come to light. We know they are there, but we don't admit it.
