Legal action sought against 33 more MPs, says parliament speaker
Turkish Parliament Speaker Mustafa Şentop has informed that the parliament has received summary proceedings against 33 lawmakers, including those from the ranks of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP).
"A total of 33 summary proceedings were sent to the parliament last night. They include the members of the HDP as well," he told the reporters on Feb. 24.

A local court in Istanbul has said it will retry former opposition lawmaker Enis Berberoğlu after it was advised by the chief prosecutor to implement a recent verdict of the Constitutional Court which said the former MP's rights were violated when he was convicted and stripped of his immunity by the court.

Güven, who was stripped of her legislative immunity and arrested last week, had been sentenced to six years and three months for being a member of an "armed terror organization."
