Suspect held over cannabis in Kastoria

Police in Kastoria, northern Greece, on Friday detained a 27-year-old man after finding 20 kilograms of cannabis in his car. Officers confiscated 37 packages containing the drugs that had been hidden under the back seat.

Authorities are seeking to determine whether the 27-year-old belongs to a drug smuggling racket.
 

Greek authorities say tugboat carried 6 tons of cannabis

Greek authorities say they have seized more than six tons of processed cannabis from a tugboat in the Mediterranean Sea and arrested the vessel's six Syrian crew members.

A Merchant Marine Ministry statement said the Andreas was intercepted about 50 miles south of the island of Crete and boarded by special harbor police forces on Tuesday.

Poland Legalises Medical Cannabis

Polish pharmacists will be allowed to treat people with cannabis after the drug was legalised for medicinal purposes, The Independent writes.

Under new regulations that came into force on Wednesday cannabis from imported plants can be processed at Polish pharmacies - as long as it has been logged with the country's Office for Registration of Medical Products.
