Works are ongoing across several ancient cities in Türkiye as preparations move forward to open more historic sites to tourism, including the ancient city of Tralleis in the western province of Aydın which is expected to be opened to visitors in 2025.

Quake survivor children painting at seaside
In Mersin's Erdemli district, a painting activity was organized in order to reduce the traumatizing effect of the earthquakes on quake survivor children.
Following the earthquakes which left Türkiye in mourning, Mersin is one of the cities that received the highest number of migrants with tens of thousands of quake survivors coming to Erdemli, a tourism district.

Shisha, barbecuing banned by sea in Erdemli
The municipality in the southern province of Mersin's Erdemli district has banned people from smoking shishas (water pipes) and doing barbecue in public spaces by the sea if such activities are considered disturbing for others.
