Over 1,000 Turks died in work accidents in 2015
Some 1,025 people were killed in workplace accidents in Turkey in just the first 10 months of 2015, according to data from the Social Security Institution (SGK).
In 2014, in which 301 people were killed in the huge mine disaster in Soma, 1,497 people were killed at work, according to the data. In 2013, 1,315 people died in occupational incidents.

No ministerial permit for probing Ermenek mine supervisors: Court
Turkey's Labor and Social Security Ministry has not allowed its supervisors to be investigated, a local court has ruled in the case into the deadly mine disaster in the Central Anatolian town of Ermenek, which killed 18 miners on Oct. 28, 2014.

A lawsuit has been opened into accused of responsibility in a mine accident in the Central Anatolian province of Karaman's Ermenek district that left 18 workers dead last year.
