Turkish Airlines has been named the best airline in southern Europe for the ninth consecutive year in the 2017 Skytrax World Airlines Awards.
Air Serbia suspends Belgrade-Abu Dhabi flights
Air Serbia will suspend its medium-haul flights between Belgrade and Abu Dhabi, effective October 29.
The national carrier said the decision was made based on the consideration of the five-year business plan, and on the plans to strengthen its short-haul flights network in Europe.

BELGRADE - Twenty-seven companies are interested in a concession deal for Belgrade's Nikola Tesla Airport, Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic said Monday.
At the ceremonial opening of an Etihad Airways unified service centre, Vucic said the companies included five Chinese firms, as well as companies from France, Germany and other countries.

New sales back down to earth at Dubai airshow
The Dubai Airshow took off yesterday to a slow start amid expectations for a record low in sales as the Gulf's main airlines have already placed large orders with major manufacturers.
"Due to large previous orders, the total show order tally this year will be much less than years prior," said Ben Moores, senior analyst at IHS Aerospace, Defense & Security.

Etihad Airways says US carriers get $70 bln in government aid
Etihad Airways on May 14 answered U.S. airlines' claims that the Abu Dhabi-based carrier benefits from subsidies, alleging that those airlines received more than $70 billion in government support since 2000, largely via bankruptcy protection and pension guarantees.
