The United States must take a firmer stance toward Turkey and stop underestimating the growing anti-American sentiment in the country, according to Steven Cook, Eni Enrico Mattei senior fellow for Middle East and Africa studies at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) in Washington, in this interview with Kathimerini.

Turkish security forces detained 15 members of a radical nationalist youth for attacking two U.S. military personnel in the western province of İzmir on Sept. 3.

Darya Dugina - daughter of Aleksandr Dugin - a well-known public figure, considered extremely close to Russian President Vladimir Putin, was killed in a car explosion last night.

According to initial information, the car exploded while driving, while 30-year-old Darya was returning from a festival in the Moscow region. The woman died on the spot.
