EuroLeague and EuroCup seasons terminated due to pandemic
Europe's top two club basketball competitions have been terminated this season without naming any winners due to the Covid-19 pandemic, organizers EuroLeague Basketball said on Monday.
"Having explored every possible option, the Executive Board has made the decision to cancel the 2019-20 EuroLeague and EuroCup," the organizing body said on its official Twitter account.

EuroLeague basketball season canceled over pandemic
The Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and EuroCup basketball tournaments on May 25 have become the latest major sports events canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
"Due to reasons beyond our control, we have been forced to cut short the most successful and exciting season in European basketball history," EuroLeague said in a statement.
Euroleague Basketball suspends its games for now
The Euroleague announced on Thursday the suspension of all its tournaments, i.e. its main competition, the Eurocup and the Next Generation Euroleague, with immediate effect.
The decision, that applies indefinitely, followed the diagnosis of a Real Madrid player with coronavirus, and the suspension of the NBA in the US.

Partizan crushed by Lokomotiv in basketball Eurocup
KRASNODAR - Partizan Belgrade were beaten 99-64 (22-18, 32-10, 29-18, 16-18) on the road by Lokomotiv Kuban in Wednesday's Round 10, Group C game of Eurocup Basketball.
The Russian team, coached by Serbian Sasa Obradovic, killed the game off in the second quarter, running away with a big 93-46 lead in the last quarter.
Istanbul's Galatasaray win 2016 Eurocup
Turkey's Galatasaray Odeabank became the 2016 Eurocup basketball champion late on April 27 after beating Strasbourg 78-67 in the last game of the final, played at the Abdi Ipekci Sports Hall in Istanbul.
Galatasaray Odeabank beat the visiting French team in the second and last game of the finals.

Turkey?s Banvit Band?rma defeated Paris Levallois 75-71 in the quarterfinals of the Eurocup Basketball knock-out stage on March 24, punching the club?s ticket to the semi-final.

Partizan Belgrade beat Krasny Oktyabr for second group win
BELGRADE - Partizan Belgrade beat Russia's Krasny Oktyabr 84-70 (23-16, 18-26, 25-14,18-14) at home late Wednesday in the ninth round of Eurocup Basketball.
Despite having lost all chances of reaching the next stage, head coach Dusko Vujosevic's team produced a good display to clinch their second Eurocup win this season.
Partizan Belgrade lose to Banvit in overtime drama
BANDIRMA - Partizan Belgrade lost 90-85 (24-25, 25-17, 20-23, 14-18, 7-2) to hosts Banvit in an overtime finish in Bandirma, Turkey in Round 7 of Eurocup Basketball Group E late Wednesday.
It was the sixth victory for Banvit, who are now certain to progress to the next stage of the competition, while Partizan have minimum chances of qualifying after as many defeats.
