EU Commission Responds to Ombudsman, Publishes TTIP Papers
The European Commission (EC) published Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) negotiating documents on Wednesday.
The move comes after the European Ombudsman Emily O'Reilly called on the EC for greater transparency on the trade talks with the US, EurActiv reports.
EU May File WTO Complaint over Russia's Food Embargo
The EU may file legal action the World Trade Organization (WTO) over the Russian food embargo, according to EU Trade Commissioner Karel de Gucht.
De Gucht said in an interview for German newspaper Frankfurter Algemeine Zeitung that the complaint was being prepared and it could be filed in mid-September, adding that no final decision had been made on the step.
EU Launches WTO Action Against Russia Over Pork Ban
The European Union launched a case on Tuesday in the World Trade Organisation (WTO) against a Russian ban on imports of pigs and pork from the EU.
