Bulgarian Folk Dance: The Longest “Horo” in Sofia on International Dance Day
On International Dance Day (29.04.), over 1,300 dancers from all over Bulgaria gathered in front of the National Palace of Culture (NDK) and sent a message of peace.
"The longest horo in Sofia" is an initiative of the National Folklore Ensemble "BULGARE" and the Association of Choreographers in Bulgaria, whose idea is that every year the event grows and includes more and more people.
Flamenco on Istanbul stage
A show adapted for the stage from Miguel de Cervantes' immortal piece "Don Quixote" will meet with the audience on Oct. 16 at Istanbul's Cemal Reşit Rey (CRR) Concert Hall with the performance by Spanish José Huertas Flamenco Ensemble.
Describing Don Quixote's emotional world with music and costumes reflecting Spanish folklore, the show will be staged for the first time in Turkey.

The National Folklore Fair "Rozhen 2019" began on July 19. This year it will run until July 21, reports BNT.
More than 3,500 folklore artists and 80 craftsmen will present their folk dances, songs and artistic works until Sunday on the meadows of Rozhen.

Sounds from Spain to echo at Ankara Music Festival
The 36th International Ankara Music Festival will take place between April 4 and 25 this year with the organization of the Sevda-Cenap and Music Foundation. One of the guests of the event, Spanish pianist Manolo Carrasco will be on the stage with his "Sounds from Spain" flamenco show, which is like a musical journey from 19th century to present, on April 12 at MEB Şura Hall.

Panigiri | Tinos | September 9
Multipurpose culture venue Soul Food is staging a traditional "panigiri" fete to celebrate the end of a great summer season on the island of Tinos, in the Cyclades archipelago. There will be a barbecue, wine and dancing to folk music performed by a three-member ensemble with lute, violin and percussion. The festivities start at 8 p.m.
