'Istanbul house' in Paris to promote 2036 Olympic bid
The Istanbul Municipality and Türkiye's Olympic committee have jointly inaugurated a promotion center at the fashion museum Palais Galliera in Paris as part of their campaign to host the 2036 events.

Istanbul is set to host the 2027 European Games, giving the Turkish megacity a chance to show it can stage an international multi-sports event as it eyes the 2036 Olympics.

Istanbul to host 2027 European Games
Istanbul has been unanimously chosen as the host for the fourth European Games in 2027, the European Olympic Committees (EOC) said Wednesday.
The multi-sport event, first staged in 2015, was the fifth continental Games to be established after the Asian Games, Pan American Games, Pacific Games and African Games.

Gymnastics: Kysselef, Belak win medals in Koper
Koper – Slovenian gymnasts Tjaša Kysselef and Teja Belak won two medals in the vault at a World Cup event in Koper on Saturday. Kysselef won silver, scoring 13.200 points, and Belak won bronze with 13.050 points. Zsófia Kovács bagged the gold (13.325 points).

3 Turkish female boxers get Olympic quota
Three Turkish female boxers - Buse Naz Çakıroğlu, Busenaz Sürmeneli and Esra Yıldız - received Olympic quota for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Qualification Tournaments on June 5.
"What. A. Contest. Busenaz Sürmeneli qualifies for @Tokyo2020 after an exciting bout in the Welterweight category," the Olympics said on Twitter.

Kajzer wins European judo silver for best career result
Lisbon – Slovenian judoka Kaja Kajzer won the silver medal in the women’s 57kg category at the European Judo Championships in Portugal’s Lisbon on Friday. The 21-year-old had to concede to Telma Monteiro from the host nation in an extra session in the finals.
