Eleftherios Venizelos airport expansion – construction to begin in early 2025, what’s changing

The renovation and expansion projects for Greece’s largest airport, Eleftherios Venizelos, are set to begin in the first quarter of 2025, with early indications showing positive pre-bookings for the 2024/2025 winter season.

Ryanair currently operates to/from 32 airports across Italy, including key city hubs like Rome and Milan both of which you can fly to with regular connections from Sofia.

According to Michael O’Leary, the CEO of Ryanair, two drinks at the airport before a flight are sufficient for passengers, and implementing limits on alcohol consumption at airports would help address the rise in disruptive incidents on flights.
