Bodrum underwater museum nominated for top European award
The European Museum Forum (EMF) has nominated the southwestern province of Muğla's Bodrum Museum of Underwater Archaeology for the 2025 European Museum of the Year Award (EMYA), the Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy has announced.
Bayburt museum welcomes European Museum Award
Kenan Yavuz Ethnography Museum, which was established by businessman Kenan Yavuz in his village in the northern province of Bayburt, has been awarded the 2021 European Museum of the Year Silletto Award by the European Museum Forum (EMF). The award was welcomed by the city's residents.

Turkish museums get European awards
Welcoming its visitors at the entrance of the 5,000-year-old Troy Ruins in the northwestern province of Çanakkale, the Troy Museum has been honored with the 2020 European Museum of the Year Special Award given by the European Museum Forum (EMF) under the auspices of the Council of Europe.

Troy Museuma candidate for European Museum of the Year Award
Troy Museum, located at the entrance to the ancient city of Troy in the northwestern province of Çanakkale, is now a candidate for the European Museum of the Year Award (EMYA) for 2020 by the European Museum Forum (EMF).
Tegea Archaeological Museum: Candidate for European Museum of the Year Award
Culture Ministry of Greece and the Arcadia Antiquities Ephorate announced that the Tegea Archaeological Museum has been nominated as a candidate for the European Museum of the Year Award (EMYA) in 2016.
EMYA established in 1977 under the auspices of the Council of Europe and is awarded annually aiming to encourage the best practices and innovative actions by museums in Europe.
