Moldova, Ukraine, Georgia, sign association agreements with EU
Moldova, Ukraine and Georgia have signed association agreements with the European Union, on the sidelines of the European Council summit in Brussels.
The association agreement between Moldova and the European Union was initialled at a November 2013 summit meeting in Vilnius of the Eastern Partnership Programme.
EU-Outsider Kosovo Makes Most of Europe Day
Although Kosovo’s membership in the European Union is far off, the country still celebrated Europe Day with gusto and several activities organized in the capital, Pristina.
Many people used their day off on Friday to follow the soccer tournament organized by the EU office in Pristina and the Kosovo authorities.

EU Removes Customs Duties for Ukraine
MEPs decided to cut customs duties for Ukrainian imports, in a move to help Ukraine's struggling economy.
"About 98% of the customs duties that Ukrainian iron, steel, farm produce and machinery exporters pay at EU borders" are to be abolished, according to a press release by the European Parliament.
