Athens is one of the top culinary places for tourists choosing their destination based on food, according to a survey by Booking.com. With three quarters (75%) of global travellers saying that they would likely travel somewhere renowned for its great food and drink when choosing their next travel destination, culinary travel is a trend on the rise.

Doctors told to declare public or private sector by end of September

Doctors working in primary healthcare have until September 30 to decide whether they want to stay in private practice or work for the public health system, the Health Ministry has said.

This is the second time the ministry has warned doctors that their private practices will be shut down and they could face prosecution if they are also registered with the PEDY public health system.

Infection in military barracks caused by uncooked turkey meat: Main opposition CHP lawmaker

An infection that led to 1,046 soldiers going to emergency service with complaints of nausea, vomiting and diarrhea on May 23 in the western province of Manisa resulted from being offered uncooked turkey meat, main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) Manisa lawmaker Tur Yıldız Biçer said on May 28. 

Turkish firm to invest in wastewater sludge dewatering, power plants

Arasya Atıksu plans to produce electricity from the 1.2 million tons of industrial wastewater sludge in Turkey together with a foreign investment fund, according to a statement by the company.

The company and the fund will invest 100 million euros in the project to establish 12 solar active wastewater sludge dewatering and power plants.
