Injured suspect in Athens bomb blast set to testify from hospital
A 32-year-old woman severely injured in a suspected terror-related explosion in Athens last Thursday is expected to testify from hospital.
State broadcaster ERT said an investigating magistrate will take her statement at Evangelismos Hospital, where she is under police guard, on Tuesday.

Two brothers, aged 17 and 19, surrendered to police after killing their 28-year-old cousin Monday night in Kypseli, Athens.
Police found the victim around 11 p.m. with severe neck wounds from a sharp object. Two knives were found at the scene. He was taken to Evangelismos Hospital, where he died.

The first time Athens' Evangelismos Hospital was on duty to accept emergency cases in June, it treated 908 people. Doctors decided that 189 needed hospitalization. Almost unheard of for a Greek hospital, none of them had to lie on gurneys - also called "supplementary beds" - in some corridor instead of a room.

Ona man dead, two people injured in road accidents
A 50-year-old man was killed in central Athens early Thursday morning when he was hit by a car while trying to cross a busy avenue.
The man was jaywalking across the southbound lane of Alexandras Avenue at around 1 a.m. when he was struck by a car driven by a 44-year-old woman.

Man arrested for fatal stabbing of 90-year-old grandmother
A man was arrested on Friday after stabbing his 90-year-old grandmother to death inside her apartment in the district of Kallithea, in Athens.
According to police sources, the 48-year-old suspect barged into the victim's house and attacked her with a knife. The woman was transferred to Evangelismos Hospital with serious injuries where she passed away.

According to media reports, the woman had been admitted to Evangelismos Hospital with Covid-19 on April 17 and suffered underlying health problems.
