At least four people died and 61 were injured in the fire at Tehran's Evin prison on Saturday, state news agency IRNA reported.

A court in Tehran has sentenced an Iranian artist to 12 years and nine months in prison for criticising the government and "spreading propaganda against the system," The Art Newspaper reported on June 3.

Atena Farghadani was arrested in August last year for drawing a cartoon that mocked members of parliament; her trial began on May 19. 

The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has fined Turkey for the lengthy proceedings of a case concerning the explosion of a device found by a group of children which killed one of them and seriously injured two others.
