Bulgaria: The Two Most Powerful Coalitions Discussed the Budget Situation

The working groups of GERB-SDS and "We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria" (WCC-DB) on budget, finance and economic policy discussed the parameters of the budget for this year, which is still to be adopted.

The two coalitions are united around achieving a 3% budget deficit, keeping the tax levels, continuing on the path to the Eurozone and optimizing spending where possible.

Another chemical substance suspected for carcinogenesis

According to a research published on Scientific Reports, Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) a.k.a. E171 may be responsible for carcinogenesis. E171 is used in sweets, chocolates, biscuits, chewing-gums, toothpastes, sun-creams etc.

The scientific team experimented with lab-rats and found out that there was indeed an increased possibility of cancer cells to appear.

BELGRADE -- Elixir Group's engineering team has developed production of monocalcium phosphate at Elixir in Prahovo, the company has said.

The compound is a necessary ingredient in the diet of all animals.

So far, this product was imported to Serbia, as no domestic factory produced it.

Every other Bulgarian consumes way too much sugary products, shows an analysis of the National Public Health Center (NPHC). 

According to the data, the Bulgarians consume an average of 36 kg of sugar per year, whereas a century ago it was 2 kg per year.
