According to a research published on Scientific Reports, Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) a.k.a. E171 may be responsible for carcinogenesis. E171 is used in sweets, chocolates, biscuits, chewing-gums, toothpastes, sun-creams etc.
The scientific team experimented with lab-rats and found out that there was indeed an increased possibility of cancer cells to appear.
