Companies are using microorganisms to convert carbon dioxide into protein and making "meat," with the taste and texture of real meat, which could theoretically not only be a solution to the food crisis, but also reduce air pollution. Others are making fabric from milk waste while others still are producing ink from exhaust gases.

Traffic Police in Sofia Will No Longer Register Polluting Cars
Traffic Police in Sofia will no longer register cars that pollute the air. Within a month, inspections will be launched in the streets of Sofia to check for excessive amounts of harmful emissions. Environment Minister Neno Dimov pledged to get funding so that the measures could be applied across the country.

Sofia Most Polluted Capital in Europe
Sofia is the most polluted capital in Europe, showed data of the European Environment Agency.
On Friday, an operation was launched for measuring harmful emissions from exhaust gases of vehicles. Units of the Road Police and Executive Agency Automobile Administration will take part in the operation. It was organised by the Association Diabetes Type 2 and Climate Coalition - Bulgaria.

Vehicles' Harmful Emissions To Be Measured in Sofia on October 7
As of 10:00 hrs on October 7, an operation will be launched for measuring harmful emissions from exhaust gasses of vehicles in Sofia.
The initiative is organised by the Diabetes Type 2 Association and the Climate Coalition - Bulgaria.
Turkey may revise vehicle emissions testing methods: Official
Turkey will revise its vehicle emissions testing methodology if it finds that emissions between idling and moving vehicles vary significantly, an environmental ministry official said Sept. 29.
The official's comments come after Volkswagen's admission it rigged diesel emissions tests in the United States.
