Households spend most on food, shows survey

The share of food and non-alcoholic beverages in households' overall expenditure was 22.8 percent, followed by housing and rent at 22.4 percent last year, a survey by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has shown.

Transport expenditure was the third largest expenditure item, with a share of 21.3 percent, according to TÜİK's Household Budget Survey.

Environmental protection expenditure $3.5 bln in 2021: Data

Türkiye spent some 66.3 billion Turkish Liras ($3.5 billion) on projects related to environmental protection in 2021, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has said.

Parliamentary Budget Office – 2022 fiscal adjustment at 9.6 billion euros

The draft budget report 2022 presents marginal changes in relation to the draft, according to the Budget Office of the Parliament.

"The estimated growth rate of this year has increased to 6.9% (compared to 6.1% in the Preliminary Plan), while the forecast for 2022 has remained unchanged at 4.5%," it said.

Tourism revenue stands at $2.4 bln in Q1

Turkey's tourism income stood at $2.45 billion in January-March, the country's statistical authority announced on April 30.

Gov't expected to approve draft national budget for 2021

The government meets today, Friday, to approve the bills related to the national budget and the state social insurance budget for 2021.
