Spain re-imposes masks in hospitals as flu cases surge
Wearing masks will be obligatory again in Spain's hospitals and other healthcare facilities from Wednesday, the health ministry said on Monday as the country faces a flu outbreak.
The decree was announced after a meeting between the health ministry and representatives of the country's regions, who control their own health systems.
Minister refutes ‘return of face masks’ allegations
Fahrettin Koca, Türkiye's health minister, has said the bad days of the coronavirus pandemic are over and refused the allegations that face masks will be mandatory again in the fall.
With the rise of the number of infections, an assertion that citizens will be forced to wear face masks again in the up-coming months sensationalized the social media last week.
Face mask mandate on public transport lifted
Turkey has scrapped a mandate for wearing face masks on public transport, though people will still be required to have them on in hospitals, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca has announced.

Minister says mask mandate could be lifted this week
Ljubljana – As the advisory task force for Covid-19 will again discuss on Monday mandatory wearing of protective masks in enclosed spaces, Health Minister Janez Poklukar announced the possibility of the mandate being lifted this week, with the exception of healthcare institutions and care homes.
Highly anticipated Science Board meeting postponed
The Health Ministry's Science Board, which advises the government on COVID-19, postponed its highly anticipated meeting for a week.
Board members were supposed to discuss on Feb.23 the fight against the pandemic and reconsider anti-virus measures.
"The press release regarding the measures will be issued on March 1," the Health Ministry said.
