The legendary English rock band will be joining the lineup of this year's Rockwave Festival. Cited in the Guinness Book of World Records as the loudest band, Deep Purple comprised one part of the "unholy trinity" of hard rock and metal music back in the 1970s, along with Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath.

Patti Smith to perform on Slovenian-Italian border
Patti Smith, a celebrated punk poet, singer and artist, will perform on the border between Slovenia and Italy in October in a prelude to the 2025 European Capital of Culture hosted by Nova Gorica and Gorizia.
The 5 October concert will be held at a new venue in place of a former border crossing known as Rožna Dolina (Valley of Roses) in Slovenian or Casa Rossa in Italian.

Orto Fest for rockers of all ages
Ljubljana's celebrated rock club Orto Bar will host the 23rd iteration of the Orto Fest from 30 March to 29 April. The 2023 line-up features 20 Slovenian and 10 foreign bands, many of which are well-known crowd favourites.
Opening the festival will be the popular Slovenian rockers Big Foot Mama, who will soon be followed by Dan D, described by some as Slovenia's Pearl Jam.
