Her paintings speak about love, beauty, violence, homosexuality, and what it means to be a woman in a patriarchal world. Through her works, she expresses reality with such immediacy that the subject touches the viewer with the power of an old myth, whose truth is immediately accepted.

The U.N. Women Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia has launched its new creative writing initiative, which aims to change the way societies think of women's and girls' roles in public by rewriting 28 fairy tales in an event in Istanbul.

The English Theater Club, the only dramatic society in Greece producing plays for children in English, will be on stage at the Altera Pars Theater on Sundays February 24, March 3, 17 and 31, and April 7 and 14. The club is presenting the classic fairy tale "Jack and the Beanstalk" in a production aimed at children aged 4-9. Shows start at noon this Sunday and next, and at 3 p.m.

The Russian Ice Stars transport the classic fairy tale about the pretty young girl, the evil queen, the poisoned apple and the magic mirror onto the ice with a skating extravaganza of dance, acrobatics, impressive scenery and special effects. Shows at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall take place at different times from December 26 to 30 and tickets cost 15 to 50 euros.

ICE-PARK

Everybody can enjoy the magical feeling of ice-skating on two special ice-parks for beginners and experience skaters. Sports and entertainment activities on the ice ring will take place and it will be possible to rent skates for a symbolic price.
