Fur farming becomes illegal in Serbia
Pursuant to the Animal Welfare Act, the ban concerns breeding, keeping, importing and slaughtering of animals for fur and skin production, Tanjug is reporting.
According to the register of the Veterinary Administration, there were 16 fur farms in Serbia before the ban took effect on the first day of this year.

Sergei Skripal's Pets are Dead
The pets of former Russian spy Sergei Skripal, who was poisoned in the UK, are dead, a spokeswoman for the British Environment Ministry said.
She told the agency that when given access to Skripal's home, a vet discovered his two dead guinea pigs. A cat has been found in a severe condition and a vet surgeon has decided to euthanize her to put an end to her troubles.
