Petra Kvitova compared the atmosphere created by Greek Maria Sakkari's supporters on Rod Laver Arena to "a soccer match" but cut through the noise and battled back from a set down to reach the Australian Open quarter-finals on Sunday.

Jorovic nominated for Heart Award
LONDON - Serbia's Ivana Jorovic has been nominated for the Heart Award, handed out by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) for FED Cup performances.
Jorovic played for Serbia in February in the Europe/Africa Zone Group I matches in Budapest.

Ivanovic loses to Cirstea, Romania takes lead over Serbia
BUCHAREST - The Romanian national women's tennis team took a 1-0 lead over Serbia on Saturday in a play-off tie for remaining in the Fed Cup World Group II.
Sorana Cirstea secured the point by outplaying Ana Ivanovic 2-1, in sets 3-6, 6-1, 6-2.
Simona Halep and Bojana Jovanovski will clash in the other singles match on Saturday.
Serbia to play against Romania in Fed Cup playoffs
BELGRADE - The Serbian national female tennis team will play against Romania in the match for the last place in the Fed Cup second world group, the draw in London determined on Tuesday.
