Primary surplus at €8.7 bln in Jan-Sept
Greece's state budget presented a primary surplus of 8.743 billion euros in January-September 2024, against a primary surplus target of €5.3 billion and a primary surplus of €5.98 billion euros in the same period of the previous year, per the preliminary data available for the execution of the state budget on a modified cash basis.

Russia: Military spending to increase by 25% in 2025
Russia’s defense spending Russia’s defense spending will rise 25% in 2025 to 13.5 trillion rubles ($145.32 billion) from 10.8 trillion rubles in 2024, state budget documents released today show.
Defense spending will make up 32% of the total budget spending and will reach 41.5 trillion rubles.
State Budget Surplus: €1.48 Billion Surplus from January to August 2024
According to preliminary data on the execution of the state budget on a modified cash basis, a surplus of €1.048 billion was recorded in the January-August 2024 period. This is a significant achievement, considering the 2024 Budget Report had forecasted a deficit of €2.774 billion for this period, compared to a €92 million deficit during the same period in 2023.
National Assembly passes 2017 state budget law
The National Assembly of Serbia on Saturday adopted the draft law on the 2017 budget, submitted by the government.
It envisages total revenues amounting to RSD 1,092 billion and total expenditure of RSD 1,161 billion, with a deficit of 1.7 percent of GDP.
