Police arrested at least two people on March 14 as nightly protests in the racially troubled US suburb of Ferguson over the police killing of unarmed black teenager Michael Brown shifted into the heart of St Louis.
      

Two police officers were shot during a protest outside the Ferguson, Missouri police headquarters early on March 12, police said, just hours after the city's police chief quit following a damning justice report into his department.
   

Two police officers have been hit during unrest in the town of Ferguson, Missouri (US), officials say.

The condition of the two injured is not yet known, authorities report as cited by USA Today.

Officials have called the violence "just awful".

The Ferguson City Council on March 10 evening unanimously approved a resolution to part ways with the City Manager John Shaw following a scathing Justice Department report that alleged racial bias in the city police department and court system.
     

Los Angeles police officers shot and killed a homeless man during an altercation at a homeless camp on Sunday.

A video captured the violent struggle between the man and several police officers in the city's Skid Row area, which ended with the former's murder.

According to police, three officers opened fire after the man tried to grab a gun from an officer, the BBC reports.

An 18-year-old black teenager has been fatally shot by police at a gas station in a suburb of St Louis, Missouri, reports The Guardian, quoting police and local media.

The incident took place near where unarmed teenager Michael Brown was killed by a white officer in August. 

Tensions have escalated again in Ferguson, over the past hours, with protesters marching there and also in a number of US cities.

This was the second night of protests after a court ruling sparked unrest across Ferguson, where Michael Brown was shot dead by police officer Darren Wilson in August.

Tense protests flared again in the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson on Nov. 24, with gunshots heard and tear gas fired, after a Missouri grand jury decided not to indict a white police officer over the fatal shooting of an unarmed black teenager in August.
