Kadıköy Municipality’s Cinematheque hosts Istanbul Film Festival
The 41st Istanbul Film Festival, Turkey's biggest international cinema event, opened on April 9, with Kadıköy Municipality's Cinematheque/Cinema House being one of the movie theatres where the festival films are being screened.

Cinematheque to show Marc Recha, Abbas Kiarostami in new season
Ljubljana – The Slovenian Cinematheque is entering a new season with great panache, not just when it comes to its film programme but also in relation to its exhibition venue and publishing and preservation efforts. The pinnacle of the new season will be films by Catalan Spanish filmmaker Marc Recha and Iranian master Abbas Kiarostami.

The Greek Film Archive presents its fifth annual Israeli Film Week on May 3-7.
Featuring a multifaceted selection of films, the mini-festival aims to showcase the variety of genres and subjects being explored by young filmmakers in Israel, while also focusing on the output of Arab-speaking directors who have been making their mark on the cinema scene in recent years.

Israeli Tribute | Thessaloniki & Athens | April 20-26 & May 3-7
The Greek Film Archive presents its fifth annual Israeli Film Week, which this year will also travel to Thessaloniki for the first time, running at the John Cassavetes cinema at the port complex from April 20-26, before heading down to the archive in Athens on May 3-7.
Silent cinema festival at Istanbul Modern
Istanbul Modern Cinema will host the second International Istanbul Silent Cinema Days between Dec. 3 and 6.
Bringing together pioneer examples of cinema accompanied by live music, the festival's corporate partners are Italy's world famous cinematheque, Cineteca di Bologna, and Eye Filmmuseum, a prestigious film museum in the Netherlands.
