Bomb warning issued for Istanbul, media reports claim

The Istanbul Police Department has issued of bomb attack warnings on crowded places in central Istanbul, such as metro stations and bus stops, several media reports said, in an unclear, controversial move in the wake of the Suruç bombing that left dozens dead and more than a hundred others injured near Turkey's southeastern border early last week.

Can the HDP separate its policies now?

Suruç is a small but very mysterious place to be. It has one big street that hosts both the Peoples? Democratic Party (HDP) town headquarters and the police station only 300 meters apart from each other. When we were there last year, during the first influx of refugees from Kobane, families were camping in the yard of the Amara Cultural Center grounds.

PM, President attack HDP on claims of supporting ISIL

The prime minister and the president offices have taken aggressive stances in their remarks refusing charges of neglect in the face of potential threats posed by militants of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), as both offices attacked the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) for its belief in the government's tacit support of ISIL militants.

Protests rage across Turkey over deadly Suruç bombing

Protests have continued across Turkey after a suicide bombing attack in the southeastern border town of Suruç on July 20 left at least 32 people dead and more than 100 others injured.

Forty-nine protesters were detained in multiple locations in Istanbul on July 21 for staging protests against the deadly Suruç bombing in the southeastern province of ?anl?urfa.
