BELGRADE - A roundtable debate entitled 'Sasa Petrovic's European heritage' was held in the Yugoslav Cinematheque on Wednesday to mark the 20th anniversary of death of famous Serbian director Aleksandar Sasa Petrovic.
Miners rescued after being trapped in Turkish mine
Nine workers who were trapped after a cave-in at a private mining facility in the Black Sea province of Zonguldak on Aug. 12 have been rescued.
The workers, identified as Yüksel Günbel, Ayhan Günbel, Cüneyt Karagünlü, Muhammet Kilitçi, Mustafa PazarbaÅı, Murtaza Pazarcık, Taner Tutal, Müslüm Bayraklı and Ferhat Mangır, were taken to the hospital.

Well-loved stunt man Szobi Cseh has died
Szobi Cseh, one of the greatest and best-loved stunt men of Romania, also an actor and director has died at Bucharest Fundeni Clinical Hospital early on Friday from a long illness, the institute said in a release to AGERPRES.
Csech, 71, died of severe liver, heart and lung complications, failing to respond to the applied intensive treatment, the release added.

Films help Lebanese come to terms with dark past
Residuals of the misery and loss from the civil war still dominates the mood and topics of the Lebanese cinema, with particularly the movies of the recent years focusing on tackling tragedies of the past Lebanonâs civil war ended a quarter of a century ago but its filmmakers remain fixated on this dark period, seeing their movies as a kind of catharsis to help heal collective trauma.

Naser Keljmendi’s trial begins
PRISTINA – A panel of judges at the Basic Court in Pristina has begun the trial of Naser Keljmendi, charged by the Kosovo Special Prosecution Office with four crimes related to international drug trafficking and the murder of Ramiz Delilalic, a Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH) citizen.
