The planned referendum to change the name of SYRIZA has reportedly become a source of acrimony within the leftist party as it is opposed by its more radical wing.
Ex-minister hospitalized after collapsing in Parliament
SYRIZA MP Tryfonas Alexiadis, 60, was rushed to an Athens hospital on Tuesday after fainting during a meeting of his party's parliamentary group in a House chamber.
Alexiadis, who served as alternate finance minister in the SYRIZA government under Alexis Tsipras, was given first aid at the scene by lawmakers Pavlos Polakis and Yiannis Mouzalas, who are physicians.
Tsakalotos says election has resulted in a ‘big win’ for ND
Greek Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos says the conservative opposition New Democracy party has won the general election.
Tsakalotos spoke after exit polls for Sunday's election showed the governing left-wing SYRIZA trailing its main rivals by a significant margin.
New cabinet members to be sworn in on Monday afternoon
The new members of the cabinet, announced last Friday, are to be sworn in during a ceremony at 6.30 p.m. on Monday during a ceremony at the presidential mansion to be attended by President Prokopis Pavlopoulos and Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras.
Moscovici to visit Athens on Wednesday
European Economic Affairs Commissioner Pierre Moscovici is due in Athens on Wednesday where he will meet with government ministers and the prime minister.
Moscovici will first see President Prokopis Pavlopoulos and then meet with Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras at Maximos Mansion between 14:45 and 15:30. Their meeting will be followed by brief statements to the press.

Parliament committee okays Thanou's appointment as head of Greek competition post
The Greek Parliament's Institutions and Transparency Committee has endorsed the appointment of Vassiliki Thanou, former chief of the Supreme Court, as head of country's independent Competition Commission.
Her appointment was backed by MPs from SYRIZA, Independent Greeks (ANEL), the Union of Centrists and Golden Dawn.
