Fishery production up 33.1% in 2019
Fishery production in Turkey posted a 33.1% increase last year on an annual basis, the country's statistical office said on June 5.
The fishery production reached 836,524 tons in 2019, according to TÜİK figures.

Bulgaria and Romania's Quota for Turbot in the Black Sea Increased by 32%
Next year, Bulgaria and Romania will be allowed to fish for turbot, totaling 150 tonnes (75 tonnes per country), which is 32 percent more than the amount allowed so far. This was announced by the press center of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry.
Officials Detained at Bulgaria's Fisheries Agency in EU Funds Misuse Probe
Bulgarian prosecuting authorities have detained several officials in a probe into the misuse of EU funding at the state fisheries body.
Those arrested include the Executive Agency of Fisheries and Aquaculture (EAFA)'s CEO, Yancho Yanchev.
