Thieves Steal US$5 million in Cash From Lufthansa Cargo Plane on Tarmac in Brazil
A group of thieves stole US$5 million in cash, which had been due to travel from Brazil to Switzerland aboard a Lufthansa jet, at a large freight airport near Sao Paulo, police said Monday.
The spectacular heist, which took place late Sunday, was completed in a matter of minutes, and authorities have yet to arrest a suspect.
London City Airport Closed After Second World War Bomb Found in the Thames
London City Airport has been closed following the discovery of a Second World War bomb in the River Thames at the nearby King George V Dock.
A 214-metre exclusion zone has been set up as a precaution by the Metropolitan Police, and roads in the area have been closed.
