Flying Broom International Women's Film Festival

The 24th Flying Broom International Women's Film Festival awarded the recipients of its honorary awards on June 4.

Actress Nur Sürer and actress-singer Zuhal Olcay received the honorary awards on June 4 at a ceremony held at the CerModern Arts Center in Ankara.

Films from 33 countries will be screened online for film enthusiasts until June 11 as part of the event.

The 24th Flying Broom International Women's Film Festival will bring national and international women's films together with moviegoers until June 11.

A meeting was held for the festival on May 27 to launch the festival.

Veteran actress Perran Kutman received an honorary award at the 20th Flying Broom International Women Films Festival on May 23 at the State Opera and Ballet Hall in Ankara. 

Kutman was presented her award by the founders of the festival, Halime Güner and Damla Akkaşık. 

The Flying Broom Women's Film Festival will be held in the Turkish capital city of Ankara for the 19th time between May 5 and May 12.

The festival opens on May 5 with three screenings at the K?z?l?rmak Movie Theater, while the official opening ceremony will be held on May 6.

The 18th Flying Broom Women's Films Festival ended on May 18 with Israeli film "Gett: The Trial of Viviane Amsalem" winning the International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI) award, while actress Begüm Akkaya was presented with the festival's Young Witch Award this year. 

The 18th Flying Broom International Women?s Films Festival will be held this year between May 8 and 18.

The festival program was launched at a meeting held at Ku?ulu Park in the Turkish capital. The festival, which will host a number of workshops, forums and panel discussions, has the theme ?The States of 18,? in its 18th year. 

The Flying Broom International Women?s Films Festival, which will turn 18 this year, will present the Honorary Award to veteran actress Hümeyra. The festival will be held this year with the theme ?the states of 18.?

A written statement by the festival said Hümeyra is one of the rare actresses who has proven herself in many fields from music to theater, cinema and TV drama.
