Exports post significant rise in February
Exports recovered in February while imports remained stable, taking the current account deficit lower, Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) data showed on Thursday.
Exports grew 14.6 percent year-on-year to 2.41 billion euros, while imports posted a marginal decline of 0.8 percent, cutting the deficit by 16.6 percent.

Exports soar but imports grow further
Greek exports registered a historic record last year, amounting to 28.83 billion euros (including fuel), which signified a 13.2 percent rise from 2016, the revised Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) figures showed on Wednesday. It was the first year since 2012 that exports had recorded a rise.

Turkey's foreign trade deficit narrows in June
Turkey's foreign trade deficit has narrowed in June year-on-year, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) said on July 31.
"In June 2017, the foreign trade deficit was 6.01 billion dollars with a 9.1 percent decrease compared to June 2016," TÜİK stated.

Turkey's April trade deficit widens to around $5 billion
Turkey's foreign trade deficit rose to 4.95 billion in April with a 16.7 percent year-on-year increase, official data showed on May 31.
While the country's imports surged 9.9 percent year-on-year to $17.7 billion, exports rose 7.4 percent to $12.8 billion, according to data from the Turkish Statistics Institute (TÜİK).
