Human remains found near town of Rhodes
Police on Rhodes on Thursday launched an investigation to identify a human skeleton found in a park on the outskirts of the southeastern Aegean island's capital by a passer-by.
Forensics experts were examining the remains amid indications that they could be those of a foreign national reported missing in 2014.
A coroner was to determine the cause of death.

Body found floating off southern Athens reportedly bears burn marks
A new body recovered in the sea off the southern coast of Athens on Tuesday reportedly bears burn marks, according to information.
The coast guard said on Tuesday the body was found floating by an amateur fisherman who immediately alerted authorities.
The fire service clarified in a press release the body belongs to a woman and not a man, as was initially reported.
