Chopin waltz unearthed after 200 years
An unknown waltz by Chopin, written nearly 200 years ago, has been discovered in the vault of the Morgan Library and Museum in New York.
The score, on a card bearing Frederic Chopin's hand-written name, was found by a curator in the spring, the New York Times reported on Oct. 28.

Chopin museum reopens in Warsaw with new original exhibits
A baroque Warsaw mansion hosting a museum dedicated to one of Europe's greatest 19th century musicians, Polish pianist and composer Frederic Chopin, was reopened at the weekend with a new focus on original artifacts after months of pandemic-spurred renovations.
Chopin portrait bought at flea market is from 19th century
A peeling portrait of Frederic Chopin purchased at a flea market in Poland hung modestly in a private house for almost three decades before an expert dated the painting to the 19th century when the Polish piano composer lived.
Chopin’s Nocturnes | Athens | February 6
Greek pianist Dimitris Mimidis will perform the whole cycle of Frederic Chopin's Nocturnes at the B&M Theocharakis Foundation for the Fine Arts and Music on Thursday, February 6. The Nocturnes series, written between 1827 and 1846, is one of Chopin's most important creations and one of the most representative works of the Romantic era. It comprises 21 short music pieces.

İdil Biret celebrates 75th birthday
Turkish pianist İdil Biret's 75th birthday will be celebrated at a concert by the Bilkent Symphony Orchestra on Dec. 3 in Ankara.
At the concert, to be conducted by Rengim Gökmen, Biret will play Rachmaninov's "Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, Op.43."
