Freedom of speech

My country, good or bad!

I spent the last two weeks mostly in London and then in Vienna for two days. My latest journey only confirmed my resolve to live in my country, good or bad. No, I did not go abroad to check if I could ever consider living in these places, but I often encountered this question if I would think of living outside of Turkey, given the political crises and difficulties at home.

US concerned over Turkey's actions against opposition

The United States is concerned over Turkey's actions against opposition, U.S. State Department Spokesperson Heather Nauert has said.

Don't utter what you don't want to hear

"Coward, villain, utterly dark, ignorant, disgusting, traitor, lumpen, tool of the terror organization, immoral, leftover pro-mandate, spoiled soul." If you direct these words at someone, at best, you yourself would be the subject to similar adjectives. At worst, something could be thrown at you, which is a reaction that will totally be tolerated in a society with a tendency for violence.
