From the moment the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games in Paris began, one figure captivated everyone’s attention, causing a frenzy over their true identity. The masked runner, who was seen at all major landmarks of the City of Light, ultimately handed the Olympic Flame to Zinedine Zidane.

The Red Bull ‘Art of Motion’ Freerunning and Parkour Competition heads back to the island of Santorini on Saturday, October 3. Athletes will leap over the rooftops of Oia as they work their way through obstacles around the caldera and rooftops in an idyllic parkour course.

Free running, a martial discipline that was developed in 2003 as a more inclusive form of parkour, is based on the principle that one should express oneself by moving fluidly in the environment and that there are no limitations on the form of this movement.
