France's Le Pen Ordered to Undergo Psychiatric Tests over IS Tweets

AFP - French far-right leader Marine Le Pen expressed outrage Thursday after being ordered to undergo psychiatric tests for tweeting pictures of atrocities committed by the Islamic State group.

Le Pen shared the gruesome images in December 2015, a few weeks after IS jihadists killed 130 people in attacks in Paris, sparking widespread condemnation in France.

'No longer possible' to utilize Lagarde list, says head of revenue authority

The head of Greece's  Independent Authority for Public Revenue admitted on Monday that tax authorities can no longer investigate the so-called Lagarde list for possible tax evaders, following two decisions by the Council of State last year.

In June 2017, the administrative court ruled any tax audits conducted that stretch back beyond a five-year limit are unconstitutional.

The Athens Open-Air Film Festival continues on Friday, July 6, with the 1965 French mystery "The Sleeping Car Murders" (Compartiment tueurs), directed by Costa-Gavras from the novel by Sebastien Japrisot, starring Simone Signoret, Michel Piccoli, Yves Montand and Jean-Louis Trintignant. This year's festival program includes 18 classic films, many of which are famous literary adaptations.
